Mosaic is the art of creating images

Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It is a technique of decorative art or interior decoration. Most mosaics are made of small, flat, roughly square, pieces of stone or glass of different colors, known as tesserae; but some, especially floor mosaics, may also be made of small rounded pieces of stone, and called "pebble mosaics".

Stone and glass pieces are randomly blended and mesh-mounted on approx. square foot sheets. Glass pieces are a mix of both matte and shiny. Stone pieces are polished and vary in their color range within the blend color. As well as being used as field tile, the sheets can be cut and combined with other field tile to create cost effective feature strips and decorative inserts. Available in 1 x 1 or 5/8 x 5/8 inch pieces.

USAGE & INSTALLATION

For installation, use a white adhesive that is recommended for installing glass. Please refer to the TCNA handbook for more information regarding installation of glass tile. Stone & Glass is suitable for low traffic interior floors and interior walls that get some moisture, like shower walls, but should not be used in steam showers, saunas or any area submerged in water. For pool or other wet areas projects, face-mounted material may be available on a special order basis depending on quantity and time. Blends with craquele glass (SGB7 & SGB8) are recommended for interior walls only. Do not use acids, chemicals or solvents.
